It has been a fabulous start to the school year! We have such amazing students at McKinley. Thank you parents so much for your support and effort so far this year. We are super excited to continue to see their growth and hard work pay off throughout the school year. If you will make an effort to continue to have your child read to you every night Reading together will help each student grow tremendously.
By law, each year we need to inform you that we have asbestos in our school. Currently, we are in compliance with all EPA standards and regulations established for our school. According to test results we have asbestos in the following areas: back storage by the office. The asbestos material found at McKinley School is in good condition and appears to pose no major health threat to the students and staff. With proper upkeep from the district’s maintenance crew and the school custodial staff, we do not foresee any problem in the future. The school is inspected every six months to assure a continued safe environment. An asbestos management plan for McKinley Elementary School is available for your inspection in the main office.
